Re: Help beta test .9.7 personal - 14 years agoThere's a new build that should fix the crashing problem when creating/editing keystrokes. -- Jeffby jeff - General Re: Help beta test .9.7 "enhanced" - 14 years agoNew keys should be up now, sorry for the delay. -- Jeffby jeff - General Re: Windows 7 UAC - 14 years agoI would love to get this fixed, but I can't reproduce this on my Win7 test system. I've got a clean install of Win7 x64 with whatever the default UAC settings are plus the latest StrokeIt .9.7 beta and I don't get any UAC prompts when the app starts. Is there a specific UAC setting that you've changed that might be causing the problem? Are you running StrokeIt from theby jeff - General Re: Help beta test .9.7 personal - 14 years agoThere's a new build that uses the SC_MINIMIZE method of minimizing windows. To clarify: This problem does not have anything to do with any changes in StrokeIt. For many many years the minimize command has simply been: ShowWindow(hWnd, SW_MINIMIZE) which is the "right way" to minimize a window. However, it seems that some newer applications are been doing their own inby jeff - General Re: Command to eject / insert DVD drive tray? - 14 years agohttp://www.tcbmi.com/strokeit/develop.shtmlby jeff - Improvement Requests Re: Help beta test .9.7 personal - 14 years agoYou should probably bring it up with the authors of those programs. Let them know what hotkeys you're sending to their programs and that the keystrokes are being sent with the SendInput API. If you're trying to execute specific actions, they may suggest that you use SendInput with specific codes that they can provide. -- Jeffby jeff - General Re: Help beta test .9.7 personal - 14 years agoLike I said, the WHEEL_UP/DOWN issue is not related to the keystroke plugin. If you are having problems with the control key combinations, please test with the KeyView program. If KeyView is receiving the correct keys in the correct order, then the issue is with the other application and is something we need to debug from that end.by jeff - General Re: Help beta test .9.7 personal - 14 years agoTo see what keys are actually being sent, try using the "KeyView" utility, available here. The download link is called "keyview", it's near the end of the first section. If KeyView shows the correct keys being sent, then StrokeIt is working properly and the trouble is with the application receiving the keystrokes. I can assure you it's 100% NOT related to the Wby jeff - General Re: Help beta test .9.7 personal - 14 years agoINTERNET4IK: Can you give me step-by-step example of what you're doing that isn't working? Exactly what key combination are you sending, and to what program? Thanks, Jeffby jeff - General Re: Space keyboard bug fixed in 0.9.7 RC? - 14 years agoNice regexps. This should be fixed in the latest build. It should read "old" and "new" style parameters just fine. -- Jeffby jeff - General Re: Help beta test .9.7 "enhanced" - 14 years agoThere's a new build with some tweaks to the keystrokes plugin, please put this through the paces. I know some testers here have had strange issues with otherwise very minor changes to this plugin. I'm looking at you, MKairys :) Is everyone pretty happy with the enhanced version? I'd like to release this soon, so please speak up if I've not yet fixed an issue that you'by jeff - General Re: Help beta test .9.7 personal - 14 years agoThe new build should fix any weirdness anyone is still experiencing with the keystroke plugin. -- Jeffby jeff - General Re: Help beta test .9.7 personal - 14 years agoI hope everyone enjoyed their Halloween! There's a new build that fixes the misdated expiration. Sorry to anyone who was inconvenienced by this. -- Jeffby jeff - General Re: Help beta test .9.7 personal - 14 years agoThe latest build should fix any problems with the keyboard plugin. This is a release candidate, so please report any and all outstanding bugs. -- Jeffby jeff - General Re: StrokeIt Win7 64-bit "Process Stopped Working" - 14 years agoHi, Manick, Thanks for the feedback. I think you should try the .9.7 beta posted in the General forum. It's quite stable and I've fixed a number of bugs due to the crash reports that testers have sent in. If the beta is still crashing for you, send me any crash reports in the %APPDATA%\TCB Networks\StrokeIt\CrashRpt folder. My email address is in the about box. -- Jeffby jeff - StrokeIt Bugs Re: Spam in FAQ - 14 years agoI installed a captcha system for "spammy" page edits where an anonymous user add an external link to a page. Hopefully this will kill some of the bots without being too disruptive for normal users. -- Jeffby jeff - General Re: Windows 7: Win+Left vs. Win+Shift+Left - 14 years agoIf you need to send keys in a specific order, don't use the 'hotkey' option, just use the send keys:by jeff - General Re: StrokeIt 0.97PersonalDemo-160909.exe - 14 years agoSorry everyone, my mistake. I forgot to update the 'expiration date' in the installer. Just to head off any speculation, the 'expiration' is only in the betas and it's just a way of keeping all of the beta testers on the same version. During the run up to .9.6, there were a lot of duplicate bug reports from testers who weren't using the latest version. This should be fixed in the newest build.by jeff - StrokeIt Bugs Re: Windows 7 Plugin - 14 years agoIt's very easy to write plugins for StrokeIt. Grab the SDK and give it a shot! I'll be happy to help you with any problems you run into. -- Jeffby jeff - Plugin Development Re: Help beta test .9.7 personal - 14 years agoThere's a new build that should fix the troubles anyone has been having with hotkeys and the 'activate window' command. Enjoy!by jeff - General Re: Help beta test .9.7 "enhanced" - 14 years agoThere's a new build that uses a version of the keystroke plugin from before the SDK rewrite. This is, effectively, the same keystroke plugin that has been working for everyone for many years now so I hope this works. -- Jeffby jeff - General Re: Help beta test .9.7 "enhanced" - 14 years agoYeah, my mistake. It's fixed now.by jeff - General Re: Help beta test .9.7 "enhanced" - 14 years agoThere's a new build that fixes the Activate Window command and (hopefully) fixes the Hotkeys commands. @gemisigo: I'm still not able to replicate the problem you're having with the scripts. I created a script called test.lua with the following contents (per your earlier post) ------- test.lua ------- function test_clipboard() require [] local message = clipboard.get()by jeff - General Re: Help beta test .9.7 personal - 14 years agoSome MDI frameworks give their windows "random" window classes while other frameworks give all applications and windows the same window class. For this reason, StrokeIt will ignore any window classes that match the following patterns: Afx:* TfrmMain TMainForm If you believe that StrokeIt is behaving incorrectly with a specific application that does not use the above window classeby jeff - General Re: Some command(hot-key) cause StrokeIt crash - 14 years agoTry the .9.7 beta and let me know what happens. http://www.tcbmi.com/strokeit/forum/read.php?3,54070 If it's still crashing, please send me the crash logs (they be in %APPDATA%\TCB Networks\StrokeIt\CrashRpt). You can't bind a command to the right button down event because that action is not actually a gesture, at that point StrokeIt is just watching the mouse input to see what youby jeff - General |
