Re: Vista Aero slow draw gesture drawing bug - 14 years agoGestures draw correctly on Aero in the latest .9.6 version. (Review, if you use that, doesn't draw correctly yet).by MKairys - StrokeIt Bugs Re: Wrong keystrokes getting sent randomly - 14 years agoI've never heard of the keys plugin sending the wrong characters - I don't think it's even possible. Is it possible you're actually invoking a different gesture, like / down instead of left?by MKairys - StrokeIt Bugs Re: Help test upcoming release! - 14 years ago> 1) Hold down right-click and continually move the > mouse wheel in one direction - does the StrokeIt > icon turn blue? I created an action with three gestures, MBUTTON_UP, WHEEL_UP, and WHEEL_DOWN: <APP name="Windows Desktop"> class=Progman New Action { gesture = WHEEL_UP gesture = MBUTTON_DOWN gesture = WHEEL_DOWN New Command = utilities, PlaySound "D:\\Users\\Michael\\Data\\Media\\Sounds\\beep.wav" } </APP> The mby MKairys - General Re: Suggest preconfigured applications for upcoming release - 15 years agoOf the apps I use with StrokeIt here are the more common ones, along with the gestures I use although you didn't ask :) You'll see where I've striven for consistency across apps, for ease of remembering what I'd configured :):) Default Back Left Close Document \ Down Close / Up Copy Upby MKairys - General Re: The disabled list application - 15 years agoCreate a StrokeIt application using a suitable identifier and check "disable gestures in this application".by MKairys - StrokeIt Actions Re: Mouse click Right/Left - 15 years agoYou can only have one of those. If your "Draw Gestures" button is Right, you can hold Right and click Left for a gesture.by MKairys - StrokeIt Actions Re: disable stroke it in cerain apps - 15 years agoWhich option do you mean? There is an option on the Preferences | General tab named "Only enable StrokeIt in configured applications", is that what you mean? To be honest I have never experimented with that. What I do to disable a particular app is to create an entry for it in the Command Editor using a suitable application identifier, and then check "Disable gestures in this appliby MKairys - StrokeIt Bugs Re: type an email using gesture - 15 years ago"Type an email" is a little vague... With .9.6, as with .9.5, I have seemingly random crashes when drawing. (This is with Vista Aero). All I know, of course, is "StrokeIt stopped working". How can I gather information or otherwise make a useful report about this? I have never managed to find a reproducible case. Also I have had, and still have, seemingly random occasions where Strokby MKairys - General Re: Internet Explorer in Strokeit (Vista 32) - 15 years agotrafanad Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > In a previous, way too long version of my post > above, I had a paragraph that stated by turning > off IE Protected mode, and leaving UAC on, IE > worked in the exact same manner. Works well here, Vista Aero on two monitors. It's great to have the line back; it really helps my gesture accuracy. This is of course not recommended and is not intended as a solution, but rather to point out that UAC may not be the culprit here.by MKairys - Improvement Requests Re: Help test upcoming release! - 15 years agoJeff! How wonderful to have you back! Nice facelift otherwise.by MKairys - General Re: Stuck at the very start - 15 years agoIn the Command Editor the right pane deals with application identifiers and includes buttons to Edit, Remove, and Add. Click Add and you will get the Add Application dialog which includes the Finder Tool.by MKairys - General Re: strokeit don´t run in my portatil pc - 15 years agoThis may be a long shot, but what is your wallpaper? I always use a solid color background, but recently I put an image there, and I noticed StrokeIt began crashing on every stroke. You can disable protected mode (Tools > Internet Options > Security) but you will of course decrease your security. What I do is use a plug-in called IE7Pro (http://ie7pro.com/) that has its own gesture recognition (more limited than StrokeIt)by MKairys - General Re: unable to open - 15 years agoI assume you reinstalled StrokeIt and then copied your .cfg files from your old computer. Have you looked at the files in Explorer to verify that they are there and not marked read-only? Did you move from XP to Vista in changing computers (I'm thinking of UAC issues).by MKairys - General Re: Combo key +Gestures - 15 years agoThis has been often discussed here... It would require StrokeIt to hook the keyboard as well as the mouse, which would add complexity and the possibility of misbehavior. I for one run a keyboard hook program for shortkeys and I would prefer not to have multiple hooks - I don't really trust Windows to sort things out correctly in all cases.by MKairys - Improvement Requests Re: e-mail won't open - 16 years agoWell that's a puzzle, if nothing has changed... Since you're getting to the error message it seems your gesture is being interpreted correctly and the action is executing... You should verify the pathname in the action definition; what you typed is not quite correct, although I assume it's your typing :) It should read something like "%programfiles%\Outlook Express\msimn.exeby MKairys - StrokeIt Bugs Re: mute/unmute the microphone - 16 years agoI toggle the speaker mute with a Windows message: "WinMsg - Post Message" Message ID: 0x319 WParam: 0 LParam: 0x80000 ... so there's probably a variant for the microphone ...by MKairys - Improvement Requests Re: launch excel - 16 years agoI have "O" = "Keys - hotkey ctrl + O" in my Global gestures and it seems to work in Excel...by MKairys - StrokeIt Actions Re: Is this possible - 16 years agoDouble-click, no; that's not a gesture. That's not really true. I use StrokeIt on Vista on several computers, with only three limitations: no colored line, no gestures in IE7 (I use IEPro for that) and occasional crashes or hangs requiring restart (I use a hotkey for that).by MKairys - StrokeIt Bugs Re: Usinig StrokeIt to open a folder... - 16 years agoUse Run - Run Program and put the folder's path in the File: field.by MKairys - General Re: Gesture screen appears on startup since reinstall - 16 years agoYou probably have two shortcuts to it in two different startup locations. The first one one runs it and the second one brings up the editor. Look into your startup locations, perhaps using a tool such as Autoruns (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx) or StartupRun (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/strun.html)by MKairys - General |
