Re: "Ctrl + mouse click" with classic gesture to open link in new tab - 13 years agoClever ;)by gemisigo - General Re: StrokeIt doesn't work on Opera after Oper's latest update - 13 years agoSorry, I can't help. Haven't seen Opera since v9 :)by gemisigo - General Re: "Ctrl + mouse click" with classic gesture to open link in new tab - 13 years agoWell, I think this thread contains some very useful tips and tricks for future scripts. By the way, mr01, if you're interested in the Pro version, besides Lua scripts it also has Mouse Click command the home version lacks. The Mouse Click command allows you to send Left/Right/Middle clicks with button as up/down/click/doubleclick allowing the click to happen at gesture start/end/arbitraryby gemisigo - General Re: "Ctrl + mouse click" with classic gesture to open link in new tab - 13 years agoNo, I guess you misunderstood. You use the context menu and "a" to check if the stuff under the cursor is actually a link and whether to send the click (plus modifier keys) or not, you don't use the text on the clipboard to open the link in a new tab. It is solely for check. But not being a link interferes (selecting all). To be precise, with built-in ahk functions you have to &qby gemisigo - General Re: "Ctrl + mouse click" with classic gesture to open link in new tab - 13 years agoThere is, and it's the most obvious one, I wonder why no one noticed :) Right clicking on a link (be it a direct link or a <a href="url"> click_here </a> type, it does not matter) pops up a menu with the nice little "Copy Link Location" item (letter "a" underscored). That means if you press key "a" next, you'll have the link on theby gemisigo - General Re: "Ctrl + mouse click" with classic gesture to open link in new tab - 13 years agoAnd now it happened that I read yours before your second edit :) The part I was referring to is that you cannot use the mouse speed settings with the Click, that is, my edited code did not contain the very same "0" you removed (the "1" may stay, changes nothing since it is the default, I only used it because, I had to provide a third param to have a fourth :) Never mind, I seeby gemisigo - General Re: "Ctrl + mouse click" with classic gesture to open link in new tab - 13 years agoCheck my previous post, please. You might have read it before my second edit so you are missing some parts.by gemisigo - General Re: "Ctrl + mouse click" with classic gesture to open link in new tab - 13 years agoRegarding the first, you could rewrite it like this: SetDefaultMouseSpeed 0 #IfWinActive ahk_class MozillaWindowClass ~RButton::MouseGetPos, xpos, ypos ; saves cursor position when beginning the gesture !#f:: MouseGetPos, expos, eypos ; saves cursor position at the end of the gesture Send ^{Click %xpos%, %ypos%, 1 } ; sends CTRL+LMB click at given position, 1 click, and move instantlyby gemisigo - General Re: "Ctrl + mouse click" with classic gesture to open link in new tab - 13 years agoWell, I tried something but did not succeed :) I created this small snippet for Chrome #IfWinActive ahk_class Chrome_WidgetWin_0 ~RButton::MouseGetPos, xpos, ypos ; saves cursor position when beginning the gesture !^+b::Send ^{Click %xpos%, %ypos%} ; sends CTRL+LMB click at given position !^+f::Send +^{lick %xpos%, %ypos%} ; sends SHIFT+CTRL+LMB click at given position ;!^+n::Send +{Clicby gemisigo - General Re: "Ctrl + mouse click" with classic gesture to open link in new tab - 13 years agoAs far as I know, Firefox has its own position aware mouse gesture (plugin?) which is able to do different link operations by dragging the link in different directions. I'd try this as first approach. My second idea would be (assuming you use StrokeIt Pro) to use Lua script to bring the cursor back to start position (it has functions for this) and send the key + mouse click combo. Thirdby gemisigo - General Re: Ctrl + Shift + Prior (Page UP) doesn't work :( HELP! - 13 years agoYou're welcome, mr01 ;)by gemisigo - StrokeIt Bugs Re: Ctrl + Shift + Prior (Page UP) doesn't work :( HELP! - 13 years agoYes, it should be possible. You have to give the class of the application/window that should interpret the command. You can get the class by using the WindowsSpy (Rightclick on ahk icon in tray). The script will be something like this: #IfWinActive ahk_class MozillaUIWindowClass ~LButton & RButton::send {LButton Up}!{right} #IfWinActive and the other one: #IfWinActive ahk_class QDiby gemisigo - StrokeIt Bugs Re: Alt + Space keystrokes don't work on cmd.exe - 13 years agoYes, cmd is a very anomalous devil. The only thing that comes to my mind is to re-route your keys through an AHK script.by gemisigo - StrokeIt Bugs Re: Please add possibility of making gestures with any mouse button, not only Right or Left button (+) - 13 years agoExcellent example, Cerberus, I like it. Though I would not use that in a browser I might adopt it to create similar solutions in other applications. Two thumbs up. Thank you very much ;)by gemisigo - Improvement Requests Re: Move to left tab or right tab in chrome?? - 13 years agoYou mean leftmost or rightmost tab? Or just next and previous tabs? The next tab (the one to the right of the current) is CTRL+TAB (you already know that), and the previous one is (SHIFT+CTRL+TAB). Is that what you want?by gemisigo - General Re: Max/Restore the dialog boxes - 13 years agoYes, it's most likely the spy process that is responsible here. It does not catch the dialog but the application that created it. I created a Lua script for that uses gesture.hwnd() to acquire the window handle to the dialog but it still gets the handle of the dialog owner, so Lua might not solve this issue. You should post a bug report at here. As long as it gets fixed (if it does at all,by gemisigo - Improvement Requests Re: Max/Restore the dialog boxes - 13 years agoPerhaps :) Not all dialog windows allow resizing themselves. It's easy to tell the difference by looking at the icon in the upper right corner of the window, next to the X that closes it. If it is not there, then in most of the cases the command is executed by the parent window (the application that has the Open dialog) and you can see that window to maximize/restore below the dialog. Eby gemisigo - Improvement Requests Re: Windows 7 Aero Bug - 13 years agoCould you tell us your Windows and StrokeIt version? Also did you have any previous versions of StrokeIt installed and have you uninstalled that or did you just installed the new version over the old one?by gemisigo - StrokeIt Bugs Re: Windows 7 Aero Bug - 13 years agoMKairys wanted to know if you still experience the issue with Aero enabled and StrokeIt disabled (but not uninstalled). You can disable StrokeIt by a right clicking on its tray icon. It turns red to indicate it has been disabled. Please, try it this way and let us know the results.by gemisigo - StrokeIt Bugs Re: Keystroke issue - 13 years agoI recall someone asking this, it might have been you, Cerberus. I peeked at AHK then and came to conclusion that it looked small, it looked easy, it looked versatile, but I had no need for it at the time being. I'm not using it extensively but I do have hotstrings running continuously and created a few key-combinations for different purposes. Those were mostly games so they are occasionally.by gemisigo - StrokeIt Bugs Re: Keystroke issue - 13 years agoWeird. Never experienced such behavior. You should try the solution Cerberus suggested. Post the updated result here, please.by gemisigo - StrokeIt Bugs Re: Keystroke issue - 13 years agoWhich version of StrokeIt is affected?by gemisigo - StrokeIt Bugs Re: Windows 7 Aero Bug - 13 years agoThat's pretty weird. Are you using a special or unusual mouse (or driver)?by gemisigo - StrokeIt Bugs Re: Why isn't StrokeIt more popular? - 13 years agoYou're probably right. With a decent marketing and price Jeff could have made his fortune with this app.by gemisigo - General Re: website addition - 13 years agoAFAIK there are two extra features present in pro version: 1. mouse movement and mousebutton click command (I've never used those myself) 2. ability to run Lua scripts. This can be really powerful.by gemisigo - Improvement Requests Re: windows 7 alt problem - 13 years agoI see. Getting the shutdown window was not the problem. It is normal, expected and wanted when doing an ALT+F4 on the desktop. What's weird (but I guess it's also normal) is that posting WM_CLOSE to desktop does close the desktop (at least it does so on Win 7 Pro 32bit). Explore.exe is the responsible for the desktop when identified as the application but explorer.exe usually restarts whby gemisigo - StrokeIt Bugs Re: windows 7 alt problem - 13 years agoI'm not sure I understand. Are you executing both commands (the hotkey ALT+F4 and the Post Message WM_CLOSE) with the same action? I changed the Hotkey command to be Post Message so it is not present anymore.by gemisigo - StrokeIt Bugs Re: windows 7 alt problem - 13 years agoI've experienced an anomaly using WM_CLOSE that I did not meet using the ALT+F4 hotkey. When triggering it first on the desktop it DOES close the desktop. On the second run it pops up the shutdown/restart/etc. dialog. That does not happen with ALF4 :) it immediately brings up the dialog window? May I as a few of you to check this out?by gemisigo - StrokeIt Bugs Re: windows 7 alt problem - 13 years agoIf you want to use it to close a window, it's quite simple. Most of the time you want to close the current window so that should be the target of Send Message To. The other ones can help if you want to close one specific window from an other (or any other). The Message ID is WM_CLOSE (one of the few built-ins). Not any other parameters needed. WM_WHATEVER message IDs are just label forby gemisigo - StrokeIt Bugs Re: windows 7 alt problem - 13 years agoI do not experience this kind of malfunction in StrokeIt but if it only affects ALT + F4 then Joe has already posted the ultimate solution: Post Message WM_CLOSE and no ALT is going to be stuck.by gemisigo - StrokeIt Bugs |
