New actions fail in Mozilla Thunderbird

New actions fail in Mozilla Thunderbird
January 08, 2010 04:04PM
Just created 2 new Global Actions- left to [BACK] and right to [DELETE].
They work well in Notepad & OpenOffice but not in Thunderbird.
I have even added Thunderbird as an app and defined them within that but still no joy.
Have I missed something?
(The pre-defined up & down for copy & paste work OK)

Hello 2525,

I can only guess you have a class/exe/title preconfigurated.
If you want expert help you have to post the content of your *.cfg files.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply Leo.
Comparing the .cfg files in \StrokeIt\Actions\ to those in \StrokeIt\Actions\Default\ they are all identical except for-
------------------------------
Added to the end of \StrokeIt\Actions\Default.cfg are-

Delete [DELETE] {
gesture = Right
New Command = keys, keys "[DELETE]"
}
Backspace [BACK] {
gesture = Left
New Command = keys, keys "[BACK]"
}
-------------------------------
There is a new file- \StrokeIt\Actions\Thunderbird.cfg containing-

class=MozillaUIWindowClass
Delete [DELETE] {
gesture = Right
New Command = keys, keys "[DELETE]"
}
Backspace [BACK] {
gesture = Left
New Command = keys, keys "[BACK]"
}
-----------------------------------
The only other difference is that the file \StrokeIt\Actions\Default\Chat Programs.cfg begins-

class=mIRC32
file=trillian.exe
pattern=true
etc........

while \StrokeIt\Actions\Chat Programs.cfg begins-

class=mIRC32
pattern=true
etc........

On the off-chance I have added the extra line to \StrokeIt\Actions\Chat Programs.cfg but it makes no difference.

Hi 2525,

Ok Jeff has added

class=MozillaUIWindowClass

in Mozilla Firefox.cfg

to make difference between Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird
both MozillaUIWindowClass

Mozilla Firefox
remove MozillaUIWindowClass and add by title "*Mozilla Firefox"

regards

Leo

Splendid. That's fixed it.
Thanks both.
