Open the Unplug Hardware Dialog
April 27, 2005 11:30AM
I use a lot of usb thumb drives people bring in and out of my office. Until recently I just yanked them when I was done, but that led to a fried USB port and a bad thumb drive, so now I use the remove hardware dialog a lot. So here it is.

Global action

Remove Hardware (I use ? since I am running out of unique letters)

Command type = Run Program

File = RUNDLL32.exe

Arguments = SHELL32.DLL,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll

As a side note I love strokeit, and get frustrated when I sit down at a machine that doesn't have it loaded. What's funny is when you sit down at a machine that does, only the actions are set to do entirely different things.

Anyone else have any good rundll32 strokes???

Thanks,
Tantras
