Show desktop

I have a action for showing the desktop that is not working. I used the reverse z sending WIN + D.

It is not working; any ideas?

Did you close the WIN keystroke before you started the D keystroke?

Should be like:
[WIN_DOWN]d[WIN_UP]
instead of
[WIN_DOWN][WIN_UP]d

Put it in "Global Actions" too, I tried it there and it seemed to work.

I just made my own bar for the bottom (not the desktop or quick launch). I put the folder that it references in Program Files, then made a text file with the following lines:

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3

[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

Then save the file, and call it ShowDesktop.SCF

ya gotta have the .SCF part and not .txt or .bat for it to work (or so I read somewhere). You can also put a shortcut to this on the desktop or in the top area of the start button (I think that one will also work) then make a keyboard hotkey for it by r-clicking it and going to properties. Then make a strokeit that runs the hotkey. You probably could also just link to the file directly with the run command in strokeit.

P.s. This works for XP as well as 98. There is an actual file called Show Desktop in your /system dir (in Win 98).
