If you shade the gesture, StrokeIt still overrides and blocks opera from receiving the gestures...
All I can suggest is take a few minutes and configure opera's predefined gestures in StrokeIt. Look for keystroke help and mouse gesture help in opera, and configure all tht u need in strokeit. then enable strokeit's mouse gestures in opera. Or mail me and I'll send u the opera gestures i mapped and exported(all the basic gestures)
