Here's how to use your mouse wheel as a task changer.Posted by ItsMattGW
Attached is a file that will enable you to use your mouse wheel to toggle through tasks that are open on your computer. Before you install it, you want to make sure you remove any actions that you have already set for MOUSEWHEELUP and MOUSEWHEELDOWN.
Once you've done that, download the file, open strokeit, just click 'file/import config/ then select the task.sxp file that you downloaded. Now when you go to 'global actions' you should see two new entries for MOUSEWHEELUP and down. How it works: Hold in the button that you have assigned strokeit to activate your gesture drawing (default is right click) and while keep it held in scroll up. You should see the task changer appear, you can scroll through the tasks as you wish until you get to the one you want (gotta keep the button held in!), then use scroll wheel down to select that task. Keep in mind you must have more than one task or window open in order for it to show that.
One other thing to note;
If you find that your mouse wheel isn't being recognized as a gesture, try uninstalling any mouse software you may have (microsoft intellipoint, logitech mouse software) or anything similar including programs that allow you to assign keystrokes as your extra mouse buttons.
This alt-tab scroll wheel control is very cool.
(The at-esc variation is less generally useful imo.) Is there a way to have the selected window open 'automatically' with right mouse up? I suppose the end of the gesture (right mouse up) would have to activate 'alt up'. The main advantage would be the direction of the scroll wheel could be used to reverse direction in the list. Also it would be easier to get the hang of. Maxthon has a gesture for ctrl-tab that works like this.
I hold the same opinion as you Ed.
To counter that I have modified the assignments as follows: WHEEL_UP - [ALT_DOWN][TAB] WHEEL_DOWN - [ALT_DOWN][SHIFT_DOWN][TAB][SHIFT_UP] LBUTTON_DOWN - [ALT_UP] Modify them manually or download the attachment, but make sure that you have deleted your earlier mappings. Not exactly the same as we wished, but very close. Hope this helps! Sandeep
I cannot understand why it is not uploading the file :(
Here is the code <VERSION>StrokeIt .9.4</VERSION> <APP name="Default"> Task Select Cancel [LBUTTON_DOWN] { gesture = LBUTTON_DOWN Alt_Up = keys, keys [ALT_UP] } Task Select Next [WHEEL_UP] { gesture = WHEEL_UP Alt+Tab = keys, keys [ALT_DOWN][TAB] } Task Select Previous [WHEEL_DOWN] { gesture = WHEEL_DOWN Alt+Shift+Tab = keys, keys [ALT_DOWN][SHIFT_DOWN][TAB][SHIFT_UP] } </APP> Save it in a file with an extension of .sxp and then do the import!

Nikil says: use "[ALT_DOWN][ESCAPE][ALT_UP]" for wheel up and use "[ALT_DOWN][SHIFT_DOWN][ESCAPE][SHIFT_UP][ALT_UP]" for wheel down. It is cool.. and another little "trick" is to Add: [ENTER] to these comands, in that way minized windows will restore to see them Best regards. =================================== so where does the [ENTER] go???
