trying to Lock computer
October 03, 2002 08:08AM
<HTML>Can anyone give me a hint as to what I am doing wrong. I have created a new Action in the global actions section, for the L gesture. It is a send keystrokes command. here it is.

[ctrl_down][alt_down][delete_down][ctrl_up][alt_up][delete_up][enter]

It's not bringing up the lock computer screen (windows security)</HTML>

<HTML>Instead of sending keystrokes, I use the following:

Command: Run - Run Program
File: rundll32
Start dir: <blank> (doesn't matter)
Additional arguments: USER32.DLL,LockWorkStation

Works like a charm for me. :)</HTML>

I figured it out.. I was using it as a global.. but it was NOT in the global category.. I created a new category myself that was ALSO meant to be global (ie NO CLASS defined) somehow.. there can be only one GLOBAL application =)

cheers,
