Install 0.9.6 over 0.9.5?

Should we install 0.9.6 over 0.9.5? Or should we do a clean install? Are settings for 0.9.6 stored the same way? Thanks.

Short Answer: It's safe to install .9.5 over .9.6.

Long Answer: .

.9.5 stored data files in the installation dir (%PROGRAMFILES%\StrokeIt)
.9.6 stores data files in the user profile (%APPDATA%\TCB Networks\StrokeIt)

If .9.6 finds data files in the install dir, it will move them into a folder called OldData and then migrate them into the profile of the user who in installing StrokeIt. This will give the current user the old settings and any new users will get the default settings.

I just installed 0.9.6 over 0.9.5 but my old settings didn't automatically transfer to the new version. I had to manually copy the folders.

Also, was I supposed to shutdown StrokeIt before installing the new version over it? [I didn't do that.]

Since its topic about updating I'll ask here: When I instal 0.9.6 over 0.9.5 my Gestures performed counter will be reseted? I know it's stupid but I would like to save that ;]
And second question is there any changelog about 0.9.6? I'm using XP so maybe there no need to update?
