launching apps - relative paths?

Hi Forum,

a weird problem occurs here: when Strokeit runs, it launches apps with relative paths (i.e. ..\notepad.exe, where notepad.exe is one directory upper than strokeit.exe, or simply calc.exe, where calc.exe is in the same dir as strokeit.exe).
But, when I shutdown StrokeIt and then restart it, it does not work.
Any suggestions?

A future request: could Strokeit be portable? I mean, using an ini file to store settings instead of windows registry.
Now I use it "portably" with a .reg file and a .bat file, but that's so ugly :(

Meanwhile I figured out that the problem was caused by missing quotes.

If anyone interested:

"..\..\Text\Scite\Scite.exe"

should launch Scite.exe, for example (with the quotes).

Now Strokeit definitely has its own place on my usb stick. Moreover, I created a launcher with NSIS, so there's no popping up cmd-window just smooth operation.

Here it is:

Just put StrokeIt files from the local installation in the "Appdata" folder.
You can delete Settings.reg and modify RegInfo.reg to your needs (the easiest way is exporting existing StrokeIt settings from the registry).
Keep the directory structure and do not rename files :)

Launch it with Portable Strokeit.exe and everything should work fine. (maybe you should clear the registry before this)

Oops... found a mistake:

please clear the contents of RegInfo.reg file in the "portable" dir, or your settings will not be saved (and restored).
