Unable to add gestures to particular program

Hi. I recently downloaded a43, a program designed to be used as a explorer.exe replacement, but for some reason, I can't assign gestures to it. The close gesture works, minimize causes a "go up" in the directory tree, and any gesture i assign simply will not function.

I was wondering if someone here would download the program and give it a quick test, to make sure i'm not loony or something. It's a tiny zip file, with an executable inside. this is the program. just running it will not screw over any of your settings.

I figured out the problem, Under XP, strokeit doesn't want to respond to any programs that choose to be unskinned. the latest version of a43 reinstates XP skinning... problem solved!

However, the minimize command isn't working properly with a43, so i tried to assign the minimize hotkey to the down command just for a43... All of a sudden, i discover that strokeit won't let me make a hotkey using alt, space and n in the one hotkey command!!! what's with that?!?
