Re: Missing draw colored line when Stardock Fences active - 11 years agoI was unable to reproduce this issue on Win 7 Pro 64 bit. Version of your OS and SI?by gemisigo - General Re: Missing draw colored line when Stardock Fences active - 11 years agoI don't know, I've never used the two together. But some Stardock applications were known to interfere with other apps in the past, eg. WindowBlinds had conflicts with Directory Opus. Perhaps there's some incompatibility between Fences and SI. Is the line not visible on every window?by gemisigo - General Re: what's the window class of taskbar thumbnail live previews - 11 years agoTaskListThumbnailWndby gemisigo - General Re: close tab in firefox - 11 years agoIs the hotkey for closing a tab still the same? They might have changed it in the last update. Some applications use CTRL+F4, other use CTRL+W, some accept both.by gemisigo - General Re: Why isn't StrokeIt more popular? - 11 years agoSort of. Jeff returns every x years, quickly fixes things, adds some features and then vanishes for another decade :) I tried Sensiva years ago and yes, its GUI was definitely more polished. Was it more advanced altogether? Not at all at the time being. StrokeIt had the advantage of being able to internally use Lua scripts. But since the community discovered AHK I'm not sure anyone uses Luby gemisigo - General Re: Simulate Left-Click - 11 years agoAlternatively, you could middle-click the link to achieve the same results (providing your mouse has a middle button, of course).by gemisigo - General Re: Storing strokeit config on dropbox. Location of config file - 11 years agoYes, those dental and golf club spams are quite annoying. From time to time I dream about applying the latter to the programmer of the bot posting them so that he needs the services mentioned in the former :)by gemisigo - General Re: New Chrome version 19 - StrokeIt not working - 11 years agoOpen Command Editor window. Select application (Chrome here). On the right side there's a panel called Application Identifiers. There should be classes listed that identify Chrome (provided you identify it by Window Class and not by Window Title or File Name). It has been observed that the developers of Chrome change the class every once in a while. If that's the case, click Add button aby gemisigo - StrokeIt Bugs Re: New Chrome version 19 - StrokeIt not working - 11 years agoCheck the class that identifies the application. It might have been changed.by gemisigo - StrokeIt Bugs Re: New tab - 11 years agoThat has been an issue for several other applications in the past, mostly for those that release updates/new versions regularly (browsers in particular). They tend to change window class for some unknown reason. You should check that for every new release when something weird happens.by gemisigo - StrokeIt Bugs Re: Storing strokeit config on dropbox. Location of config file - 11 years agoIn case you use it in portable mode you can find it at UsageCount in the ini file (StrokeIt.ini). Otherwise it is probably stored in the registry. Try searching for the string UsageCount using Regedit. Oh, I see you're a moderator now, Cerberus. Congrats ;)by gemisigo - General Re: Strokeit Anonymous anyone? - 11 years ago@Cerberus: For "SI will be able to survive and prosper forever".by gemisigo - General Re: Strokeit Anonymous anyone? - 12 years agoI don't think there is. They might cancel older ones :) But why would you deaddict yourself in the first place?by gemisigo - General Re: Abandoning StrokeIt - 12 years agoNo :P But Jeff seems to be back so I guess there are some interesting changes in progress. I'm looking forward to them.by gemisigo - General Re: Documentation ? - 12 years agoHey, Jeff, welcome back :) We were missing you badly.by gemisigo - General Re: All applications except one pattern : is it possible? - 12 years agoGlad you managed to solve it ;)by gemisigo - General Re: All applications except one pattern : is it possible? - 12 years agoI'm quite sure that's not true. I have (had) gestures for Firefox and when I ticked Disable gestures in this application, they immediately cease to function without affecting other applications or globals.by gemisigo - General Re: All applications except one pattern : is it possible? - 12 years agoHi Cerberus :) Yes, I did a couple of experiments by reordering the applications and figured out that one can achieve some weird effects just by renaming (and reordering them by doing so) but I did not think that just adding the '*' to Globals would result in similar anomalies. I recall that I put disabled application into and thus keeping them at the top of the list but I'mby gemisigo - General Re: All applications except one pattern : is it possible? - 12 years agoAs Cerberus stated, you used the correct way to disable Firexfox. Adding a pattern to Global Actions is useless since it is applied to every application that does not have its own settings and is not listed as disabled (unless you add some Class Name or pattern which in turn can screw... er.. I mean ruin designed behavior :) Which version of FireFox it is? The gestures are limited to combinations (up to three) of the four basic directions (Up, Right, Down and Left) like U, UR, URD, ULD, etc. The main function of RM is to show a menu. You hold down RMB (by default) and do the gesture (Down by default but I changed it to Right), the menu pops up, you move the cursor to tby gemisigo - General Re: Abandoning StrokeIt - 12 years agoI just simply did not like it. I cannot tell why, there was nothing specific I can recall. I felt it a bit "uncomfortable". But that was months ago, JG might have changed since then. And yes, there were some popup menus to choose different actions in JG. But RM (Radial Menu) is special in different way. RM is written in AHK and that makes cooperation between the actions easier and moby gemisigo - General Re: Abandoning StrokeIt - 12 years agoHi Cerberus! I've experienced such omissions as well. I guess the engine is outdated and it could use some patches to be fully (or at least partly) compatible with Win 7. I've tried Just Gestures (I did not like it but that's just my personal opinion) and while Strokes Plus is quite good it is unlikely that I'll make another switch in the near future. One possible problem could be that one (or both) of its coordinates is a negative or an extremely high number. You might try shutting it down (or killing from task manager in case you don't have a gesture for that), add the code below to your Default actions manually, change O Reversed to anything that is definitely not defined for your desktop, start StrokeIt and trigger its actby gemisigo - General Re: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all StrokeIt users. - 12 years agoHi, mates! Though I only registered as gemisigo about two and a half years ago, my first post is dated November 04, 2004 (at 08:53AM as a not registered black and white cat-foot :) and while much less active, I'm still here. Thanks, MKairys ;)by gemisigo - General Re: Abandoning StrokeIt - 12 years agoYes, it were the subscriptions I was looking for, thanks. I'm not trying to convince you to try to convince me to switch :P Okay, I'll quit joking :) I've put too much work and effort to switch to RM and created and added to many small utilities I use very frequently to start that over again. I threw a glance at it and that thing looks very promising. I'm not going to switch to it (RM suits my needs down to the last bit + I prefer AHK over Lua) but it is very close to what I've expected StrokeIt to become one day.
