How to close window command line cmd.exe or ping.exe ...?

While ctrl+F4 and alt+F4 does not work in a command prompt the most obvious solution is a Send keystrokes command with "exit[ENTER]" ;)

CMD.EXE is ok. Thank you. But is ping.exe?

What about it? It is closing automatically after four pings (by default), isn't it?

You can probably just use SendMessage with WM_CLOSE.

If that doesn't work, you could also send 'Alt+Space' and then 'c' to activate the window menu and select the 'close' option. That should force-close any console programs.
