Scroll left and right

Scroll left and right

I have folks with impaired sight and use large fonts on screen. It would be really helpful for them to be able to use StrokeIt - but we need to be able to scroll left and scroll right. I haven't found any info on setting that up for General Actions (I would modify others to accomodate this).

Help would be most appreciated.

I'm not sure what you mean, could you clarify that a bit please?

Dear Diane Carlson,

You can realize this as Keystrokes.

1.Please make a backup of your default.cfg
(folder strokeit\actions\default.cfg)

2.Then open StrokeIt - Command Editor by left click the nice icon.

3. Go in the global action and delete the copy action and the paste action

4. Unzip and import the scroll example.

5. the default gestures for scrolling are
now left, right, up and down.
(if you like other gesture delete this one and add a other gesture )

6. So you must ensure that you have not define left, up and down in a application you want to scroll with this gestures (for example in IE left and right are forward and backward ) if you want these easy gestures.

I hope this was your question :)

with best regards

Leo

The font is so large, that the window exeeds the screen size and so they have to scroll or move the window contents right and left to read it.

It would be great if StrokeIt could be made to do that for them. In other words, we need either the window itself to move right and left or we need the contents of the window to move right and left.

TIA

Hi Diane Carlson,

So my config is not working for you ?

The only programs which I know to autoscroll is
autoscroll 1.0 from http://www.antares-gd.de/ (freeware) and
toggle mouse ($19.95 for a single user license) from http://www.toggle.com/

but autoscroll 1.0 is a pain you have to press middle mouse

try toggle mouse perhaps ...

with best regards

Leo
