StrokeIt

Using the Bracket key '[' as part of a hotkey or keystrokes. . .

Posted by Lazlo
Hi There,

I just discovered Stroke It! I know I'm late, but I think it's a great progie. Anyways, I'm trying to setup a particular action that doesn't want to work correctly.

I want to send Adobe AfterEffects the shortcut combo of 'ALT + [', but StrokeIt returns an error either when I place 'ALT + [' in the hotkey field, or when I customize the action like this:

[ALT_DOWN][[ALT_UP]

I assume that the syntax is just getting confused with the open bracket, but I don't know how to "escape" the syntax appropriately. BTW, the closed bracket works fine as such:

[ALT_DOWN]][ALT_UP]

Does anybody know how I can use the open bracket as part of a keystroke?

Thanks!
