Selecting whole line in Notepad, possible?

Is it possible to create a keystroke which will select whole line (thats what happen when you click 3 time in same place) in note pad? I've been trying something like:
[shift_down]home[shift_up] but it works like there was only home button used, it takes me to beginning of text but doesn't select anything.

[HOME][SHIFT_DOWN][END][SHIFT_UP] works for me

First I want to say that I didn't add that I'm using Notepad2 not Notepad (in notepad 3x left click doesn't select line). Stroker, I've tried yours combination but unfortunately it doesn't work for me. It acts like shift wasn't used at all, just home and then end...
