Stopping negative colours when drawing synbols?

i really like how you can specify the width/colour of the line that draws the symbol, but i noticed that the colour is always inversed? or something depedning on the colour of the screen behind it, sorta of like a negative photo.

anyway to stop this? and have it just draw in the colour specified? without regard of whats under it.
