Keys - HotKey configuration interface not accepting keys

Keys - HotKey configuration interface not accepting keys
January 24, 2010 07:13PM
Reproduction:

Open StrokeIt configuration dialog,
New command for an application,
Command = Keys - HotKey,
Focus onto the textbox under the label "Hotkey:",
Perform a stroke that sents a hotkey,
Press some keys on the keyboard to specify a hotkey for the command.

Now the textbox in the Hotkey plugin configuration interface can not accept the key correctly.

StrokeIt 0.9.7

Hello wmjordan,

> Perform a stroke that sents a hotkey,

You steal focus with that command.
I think this behavior is not a bug, because you intercept your hotkey input with another command.

Yes it is a bug.
After the previous operations listed above.
When I focused on the textbox of the HotKey utility, and typed the keyboard, for instance, pressed "drm", and "drm" was displayed on the box. If it is working correctly, only "m" should show up on the box.

Bug confirmed. Though I regularly use copy/paste in StrokeIt's textboxes, it is quite an uncommon thing to use StrokeIt to enter a hotkey into its own editbox. And it does not work either :) It behaves exactly as described by wmjordan.
