I'm not quite sure what your intentions are since "D:\Downloads" is not a website. Do you want Internet Explorer to open "D:\Downloads" in windows explorer?

If so, you should use a "Run Program" instead. Leave Start dir empty and fill in the following fields:

file:
"C:\Windows\explorer.exe" (or something very similar)

arguments:
"D:\Downloads"

Thx your reply~

but i changed the website(eg.http://www.google.com/)
The Problem is still there

my Point is that 9.6 can do that(use ie to open folder)

do you try?

A bug or my system problem?

Jason,

If you're interested, here's how StrokeIt figures out how to open a webpage. You can follow these steps manually to see what's happening and where it might be going wrong on your system.

Using the registry editor, check the value of
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Associations\UrlAssociations\http\UserChoice\ProgId

Common values are 'IE.HTTP' for Internet Explorer and 'FireFoxURL' for Firefox

Now go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and find the folder that matches the value you just found inside that folder, go to shell\open\command and look at the (Default) value

On my machine this value is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -requestPending -osint -url "%1"

Replace the %1 with the website you're trying to load and then run the whole command.

There's a chance that your system is just missing the %1 in the command string. Please post the values that you do find and we can go from there.

Thanks,

Jeff

My mistake, those instructions were for Vista and Win7.

For WinXP, it's a little simpler:

It just reads the default value from
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\http\\shell\\open\\command

and then replaces the %1 with the website and runs the command.

Thank you Jeff

That value is ["C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome]

i tried to replace "-nohome" with %1

Then the command is Ok now

And thank you again, your GREAT software~!
Re: 0.97 internet - open website not working right

Running Vista 64 SP2 Home Premium. Only thing I find not working (so far) is Internet - Open website. It only will open my default webpage only, no matter what is listed in the website box. I know there is probably a setting in the registry, I have looked for items close in this posting but not seeing anything. Any suggestions? So far, no crashes YEH! Missed this program for some time, love having it back!! Something else, it also opens another Internet Explorer (Ver 8) window if I open more than one website (one at a time) Used to open another tab in the same window.
