Internet Explorer + Microsoft Sites

When I try to use the default "C" gesture to close IE, it does not work on the following sites:

microsoft.com
hotmail.com
msn.com

Details:

Tried with 3 different systems

System 1:
Win2k Pro SP3 + hotfixes
IE6 SP1

System 2:
Win2kPro default install
IE 5

System 3:
WinXP Home SP1
IE6 SP1
