StrokeIt
Plugin that sends mouse clicks?Posted by Ian
Is it possible to build a plugin that sends ctrl-click or shift-click based on where the gesture originated? I'd like something like this:
http://www.zypd.com/rightflick/ReadMe.htm but without interfering with the other gestures in StrokeIt.
I've written a small plugin to emulate mouse clicks. It's just a straightforward modification of the sample plugin.
Caveat: Since I don't know how (if this is at all possible) to obtain the coordinates where the stroke originated, the plugin sends the click at the current mouse position (that is, the endpoint of the stroke), so it's really only useful with strokes that go back to their starting point. dll (6 kb): http://www.math.msu.edu/~jaeger/strokeit/mousemu.dll language file (<1 kb, goes into C:\Program Files\StrokeIt\Strings\MouseEmu\): http://www.math.msu.edu/~jaeger/strokeit/English.lng source (22 kb): http://www.math.msu.edu/~jaeger/strokeit/mousemu.zip
Hello Tom,
Thank you very much for your plugin ! works fine so far .. Do you could write a plugin for pasting text also ? -inserting text in a box and paste it immediately -as addon pasting the current date and time in various formats with best regards Leo PS: Can I upload your plugin on my site ? visit http://strokeit.tk :)
Hi Tom,
I realize this is a 16 year old thread, but I'm still using Strokeit (I haven't found a better alternative) and recently wanted to implement a "shift-click" gesture. It sounds like your plugin would make that possible, but the links no longer work. If you're able to receive this message, would you consider re-posting the dll or sending it to me? Many thanks. |
