Support Mouse Clicks as Keystrokes

Hi, is it possible to support mouse clicks as keystrokes?

My use of this is to send the following keystrokes
"cd /d (mouse right-click to paste directory path from clipboard)[ENTER]"
in the command prompt.

I tried to do this with the following keystrokes without success,
"cd /d [ALT_DOWN][SPACE][ALT_UP]EP"
After reading the subject "Keys Plugin does not work in Console Windows" under this forum, I conclude that i can't do it with the above keystrokes.

I am hoping that command prompt will accept mouse clicks...
Or is there another way to achieve this?

Hi Jimmy,

The only way that I know to do this is using Totalcommander.

There you have a command line like in the good old Norton Commander Days... :)

Hi Leo,

What a coincidence, i've been using WindowsCommander (former name of TotalCommand) for couple years :) . I know you can go to a directory in WindowsCommander and type cmd to bring up a command prompt with that directory as the current directory, but that way is slightly different from what i want.

The situation I have is that I have created shortcut keys (and strokeit action) to bring up a command prompt, and whenever i press those shortcut keys, the same command prompt will be bought back to focus even if it's minimized. This way, i will only have one easy to go-to command prompt active.

The way i have been doing 'cd' in command prompt is to copy full path in WindowsCommander and shortcut back to command prompt then do the 'cd /d paste and enter'. But now i have strokeit, I have actions to focus WindowsCommand, copy full path, focus command prompt, just need "paste in command prompt" ...

OW... i guess it's not yet possible...

Hi Jimmy again,

why do you shortcut back..

If Total Commander is active, nearly all keyboard input is directed to the command line.

SHIFT-ENTER Like ENTER, but with preceding command /c.
After the called DOS program is terminated, its
window is not automatically closed. This will only
work if the file noclose.pif is in your windows directory.
if you don't have the file noclose.pif
you can open the total commander installation with winrar and find the file in windows directory..

now you have to prompt 'cd /d paste and shift enter'. or let StrokeIt do it for you ...

with best regards

Thx again Leo,

After extracting noclose.pif into the wincmd dir, executing a command with shift-enter does leave the DOS program alive after execution. However, seems like total commander's command line doesn't have the same env as a regular cmd, I get JAVA_HOME undefined error when executing ant inside total commander's command line while it runs perfectly in a regular cmd. Do u know how to fix it?

Start Totalcommander alt + enter noclose.pif
change in the programm tab command.com to cmd.com ..
