kmeleon send command to point failingPosted by pablo
hi all
bug: when command="layers(OpenLink)" or "layers(OpenLinkBg)" (this is supported, no other way to open link in layers by IDs) the first time runs well, but the command is set misteriously to "layers" the next time you activate the gesture not only it doesnt work well: kmeleon crashs. pablo from argentina
hi all
jeff: yes sp1 of kmeleon applied but is not only a kmeleon bug I think: why strokeit changes the command from "layers(OpenLink)" to "layers" the first time you run the action (the first time runs fine actually)? its the kmeleon plugin? in this case to who i need to report the bug? again I think all this it isnt related to kmeleon crashing when you send "layers", maybe a parsing when it finds a "(", i dont know.. someone else with this bug? sorry for my english pablo
Yes. Just tried to change the setting from ID_OPEN_LINK_IN_NEW_WINDOW to layers(OpenLink) and the exact same thing happened to me. It's what prompted me to search for this thread.
With the layer catch pref set to true, layers(OpenLink) is more preferable because closing the newly opened layer reverts focus back to the previously viewed layer as opposed to the layer on the left, which ID_OPEN_LINK_IN_NEW_WINDOW does.
I experimented some more: e.g.
changing ID_APP_ABOUT to ID_APP_ABOUT() Of course ID_APP_ABOUT() is wrong syntax and nothing happens on K-Meleon. But sfter the first use of the gesture the Identifier ist changed back to ID_APP_ABOUT and K-Meleon works fine. So the Stroke-It's handling of the brackets is to blame :) if you need anything helping (I'd like this really to be fixed, having dozens of windows is not equal to having dozens of layers) mail me gropie @ gmx . de |
