According to the drawing gestures reference <[url=http://www.tcbmi.com/strokeit/actions.shtml?app=files/All%20Symbols.cfg]http://www.tcbmi.com/strokeit/actions.shtml?app=files/All%20Symbols.cfg[/url]> the V gesture doesn't even exist by default, even though there is an entry for it in the Gestures list.
When make a V gesture on the Learning Mode screen it's always recognised as a U anyway, which might be either because StrokeIt finds it hard to differentiate between the two, or because this gesture was indeed not pre-programmed into StrokeIt.
Personally I would recommend removing V and reverse V from the gesture list entirely simply because it's so easily miss-interpreted or miss-gestured as a U (and similarly Reverse U).
