[Windows 7] Alt + Tab window switching possible?

Posted by Ben
Hello,

I'm using a tablet pc and StrokeIt is very nice for this. I want to switch the windows like "alt+tab" it does, but with a gesture! Tried to send keystrokes -> [ALT_DOWN][TAB]
But alt is pressed down after I switched the window.

Is this possible?

You need to add [Alt_up] at the end if you want to release alt. But I'm not sure how the taste switcher works in Windows 7...
Windows closes the tab windows sadly :(
Right now I use VistaSwitcher as it uses WIN + F12 and stays open. It works, but of course an additional program...

Use [CTRL_DOWN][ALT_DOWN][TAB][ALT_UP][CTRL_UP]. Adding <CTRL> to the key sequence makes windows leave the flip window open.
Answer is very nice, thanks. But it solve the question in another way, maybe strokeit should devolop more functions.
I use Windows Vista and tried the following keystrokes - it seems to work fine with the Windows Vista 3D-View:

[CTRL_DOWN][WIN_DOWN][TAB][WIN_UP][CTRL_UP]

The 3d-View stays open until you select a window ...

I can't seem to get this working in Windows 8, either as a Pen Flick or in Stroke It.

Anyone else using Windows 8 and Stroke It?
I have the same problem. [ALT_DOWN][TAB][ALT_UP] doesnt work in Win8
I have some way for yet. It isn't perfect, but it work.
Create New Command as "Run Program" - in File write: %windir%\explorer.exe
in Arguments write: shell:::{3080F90E-D7AD-11D9-BD98-0000947B0257}
Download the Alt-Tab Thingy 4.0.4 and install it - then go to the settings/mouse_keyboard and uncheck "disable to need to keep Alt pressed" and Behaviour/Start ATT with windows startup - then you can set Alt+Tab in strokeit and it will work fine.

How did you come up with this solution? It works fine btw!!
In Windows 7 I use the following:

[ALT_DOWN][TAB_DOWN][TAB_UP][ALT_UP]

(You have to make sure you use [TAB-DOWN], NOT just [TAB].)
I forgot to mention. It is ironic, however, that the only window it doesn't seem to work with is the StrokeIt Command Editor Window, so if you go to test the combination, then test the combination on windows other than the StrokeIt Window. For example test it on a web browser window and a text window or pretty much any windows other than the StrokeIt Editor Window itself.
