how to do a simple copy text?!

I have set the gesture C to copy text and choose
Keys - send keystrokes
then put this in the bottom box
[CTRL_DOWN]c[CTRL_UP]
however what this does is CUT the text not just a simple copy but leave the original text alone!

what have i done wrong?
by the way the default up stroke does nothing or the down
also my global actions list was completely empty that's why I tried to create my own copy action

boy this forum is not very active, anyway I managed to download an older copy and used that default.cfg file to get the global actions that were missing, Is the installer in the latest version faulty, or were the global actions removed for some reason?

Yeah this forum isn't always very lively... but sometimes it is! I am glad you fixed your problem somehow. Cutting with control-c sounds really weird!
