How to get ID WParam LParam ?

hi all,

I've got a problem.
I don't know how to get ID, WParam and LParam in order to use "WinMSG - Send Message" or "WinMsg - Post Message" to control specific functions of concret application e.g Firefox

I found on the internet some freeware tools (I think useful or I'm wrong) but I'm not sure if they allow to do what I want: get specific "ID, WParam and LParam" of contrete action in order to use it in StrokeIt.

These tools are:
- UISpy
- WinSpy++
- WinCheat
- WindowSpy
- Winspector Spy
- Simple Windows Spy

Those are very useful tools but I don't think you need them. I don't remember if they are able to catch messages but there are dozens (hundreds, thousands) of messages sent to every application every second so it would not be useful anyway (probably).
Since you already know which application you want to control you only need its documentation. It should contain a message list describing what the different messages do, how do you send/post them (their ID), what parameters do they require, and their meaning. If that documentation is not available you could ask on plugin/developer forums (I'm sure FF has got one).

From those tools I mentioned, Winspector Spy seems to be more advanced but the amount of messages was really high and it was difficult to see their exact meanings.
So, I gave in...

I do like you said and I try to find ID list of concret app.

btw.
I thought maybe freeware Deviare Message Spy wll help but they (authors) send this tool only to companies. (weird philosophy :/ )

On the screen it looks like this tool is able to get message ID but propably works in the same way like other app's.
So, propably again only wasting of time... ;)
