Windows 8 Compatibility

I am not sure if this is a win 8 issue or stroke it issue.
1. whenever stroke it is running it sits in the task bar+ system tray
2. exit from the task bar, the app closes and exists from tray
3. The behaviour was stroke it sitting only in system tray. this was good. it does not happen in windows 8
4. the app icon needs an update

Also this is on windows 8 Consumer preview (64bit), running on intel i5

I concur with these problems under w8 x64,

Another one is it doesn't work over some windows, for example on Everything (a free file search application). Checked to make sure it isn't a configuration problem by flushing config - it isn't.

Thanks

Try performing the minimize gesture on the taskbar icon itself.

I fixed this annoyance by setting my win8.1 shortcut to

Compatibility mode
Run this program in compatibility mode for:
Windows XP (Service Pack 3)

Oh, Compatibility modes for 7, 8 didn't have any influence, but XP has solved the problem!! Thx

Also for Windows 10 you can launch StrokeIt at startup with Windows XP compatibility by making a task in Task Scheduler.

That's a good idea!
