Keystroke (vs. Mouse Button) to invoke Stroke-It?
December 03, 2006 12:08AM
On a notebook with a touchpad, I would like to be able to use a key like Ctrl or Win to invoke Stroke-It. Using a button right below the touchpad is cumbersome, slow and requires two hands.

Since my left hand rests need the bottom left of the keyboard, depressing Ctrl or Win would be perfect to allow my right hand to draw the Stroke-It gesture on the touchpad.

Perfect Idea. I always have to change when not having the mouse, but never thought of asking for another key instead of the middle mouse button.

I second this request!

Hallo tecsi and Dennis,

Ok it is not a good solution ....

Download http://www.autohotkey.com/download/ and install it.

Yeah I know autohotkey and have been using it for quite a while. It would still be nice to have this function in StrokeIT as it ain't too hard to implement it ;)

Happy new year to you too!

Leo, Dennis,

Thanks for the AutoHotkey tip. Works perfectly.

I use Launchy, another freeware to open programs. I simply press Alt+spacebar and type first few letters like 'Stro' and StrokeIt appears in a list. Then simply press the return key to launch it.
